“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”
– George Bernard Shaw.
My name is Victoria St. Michael and I am a 27-year-old creative professional from Ottawa, ON. I graduated from Algonquin College’s journalism program in 2017 and recently finished my undergrad in Digital Journalism (Honours) at uOttawa.
I live with my partner, Chad, and our feline furbabies Fozzie Bear and Squeaks. We met in college and got married in 2019. I am a passionate, focused writer with an avid interest in photography, graphic design and social justice issues. My master plan is to use my unique voice to make a positive difference in the world. Don’t ask me how that’s going.
In 2020 I began a new adventure in publishing, a field I have wanted to work in since I was a young child, as an Assistant Production Coordinator at iMedia Northside Inc. On occasion I accept freelance projects that catch my eye. I have also been pushing myself to focus more on my personal writing projects.
This website was originally launched in December 2018, purely as a space to organize my word vomit and spare my Facebook friends and family from my frequent ramblings. Later, I decided to merge this site with my existing portfolio. Now you can check out samples of my writing, contact me for freelancing opportunities and read my blog all in one convenient little package. Fun, am I right?
Thanks so much for being here and for taking the time to read this exceptionally long bio. If you’re on Twitter, give me a follow! I’d love to connect with you:
